How can we get our message in front of a massive audience?

But don’t give up hope just yet…
What Can You Do That Actually Works?
Ok, so enough negativity. What about something you can use right now to get great results?
Start testing the following in combination and see what works (it’s different for us all, hence the testing)
- different social channels
- with different information
- with calls-to-action
Nothing else is as simple, yet as important.
I know it sounds like a lot of trial and error, and not something you want to be spending your valuable time on.
But I do know one thing for sure – if you do nothing, nothing is going to happen.
So Just Get Started Already
To get started, all you need to do is make a plan (to the best of your ability). That’s it.
Commit to yourself that your going to follow through with your plan, and just get going.
Don’t spend hours worrying about. It’s not going to be perfect, no matter how well you craft it.
So just start, and you’ll learn along the way. In fact, the lessons come quicker than you can imagine!
There is no better learning experience than doing, I can tell you now.
But Does It Work?
Obviously, this type of ‘learn as you go’ strategy is not going to work with large corporations. Although you’d be surprised to find out that this is exactly what some of the larger corporate companies do.
You see, there’s no official guidebook on this social media marketing. The social networks change so rapidly that by the time you get the planning done, you need to change everything again.
This is why I always recommend you just start, and test the waters by putting your foot in first.
There are a few basics to social media marketing that you can adhere to. Just make these part of your plan. They always seem to stay consistent, regardless of the social networks and what type of business you’re in. So in that respect, it is quite reliable.
Want to know what they are? I’ve listed a few of them below for easy reference:
- Always use landing pages with calls-to-action
- Always be consistent with you posting schedule
- Always cross promote your content between your social media channels
- Always look to provide helpful, useful, and relevant information
- Always stay engaged and respond to any questions or comments that arise via your posts
Use this information to test this social media marketing stuff out yourself. You will be amazed how easy it can be.
Once you get the hang of it, you’ll see that it can be very rewarding.
The only downside is that it can also be very time consuming. Hey, nothing worth doing is every easy, right?
